Miss World 2013, Megan Young, visits New Jersey, New York and Los Angeles to raise money for Supertyphoon Haiyan victims.
The Philippine Independence Day Council Inc. together with the Miss World Organization held a fundraiser at Double Tree by Hilton in Newark, New Jersey on November, 20th. Despite the freezing weather, about 230 people attended the event for a worthy cause plus the chance to see the Philippines' first ever Miss World winner Megan Young, who was escorted by reigning Mr. World Francisco Javier Escobar.
A special program unfolded during the night in New York and a check worth $20,000 was turned over to MWO to help the Philippines. Young was very grateful for the money that will surely benefit the needy people in the affected areas which she will personally visit on November 28 and 29.
Young is set to visit the Beverly Hills Country Club in Los Angeles for another fundraiser today.
